I feel as though we've been celebrating her birthday all week long--which is as it should be!! Here are some fun fun shots of today's "Incredibles" party-- complete with bounce house and a visit from Elastagirl! As a party favor, all the kids got Incredibles pajamas, which most of them promptly put on so that they too could be superheros. Elastagirl gave them the moves and taught them about their superpowers and they all sang happy birthday to miss millie.... and...check out a sneak peek of our new sweet ride, the midnight blue Volvo XC90 in the background of one of the shots! The last two shots are of some of our favorite people the Greenes! They flew out from North Carolina for a wedding and it coincided with Millie's party, so they were our special guests. We miss you guys....

Happy 3rd birthday Millie!
So my adorable toddler is now a full=fledged preschooler. I dutifully brought in the sugared treats to Millie's preschool class like a good mommy, and Millie wore her brand new Tinkerbell outfit, complete with wings, like a true princess. The big party is coming this Sunday, stay tuned for more pics!

I spent a week in Los Angeles working with Jules on her photography business. One night, after she did a kick-ass job speaking at a conference in front of about a hundred photographers, we went out with everyone and had a blast in the photo booth! Nothing like a bunch of photographers getting silly for the camera...

Bear Valley with BFFs the Ferrons!
What can I say, the Ferron's are big in demand. Everyone wants to play with them. Including us!!! We love hanging out with them, and here is proof. A weekend in Bear Valley. What a blast. Gabbie and Penelope, Ben and Millie, Sandra and Joy, Shawn and Brett.... all BFF!!! Hoooray!!!

We made it through the first week of First Grade!!
Both Penelope and Mommy (and Millie!) survived the first two weeks of First Grade. Penelope is holding up quite well, considering her days pretty much doubled from Kindergarten. The ones who were the most shell-shocked were the parents, believe it or not. I still can't believe we are doing this elementary school thing... .what happened to my lazy summer? But, surprisingly, getting up and out of the house hasn't been as brutal as I anticipated. The girls are usually up (a few mornings I've had to drag a sleepy Penelope out of bed) and P is excited to go to school and see friends. And Mommy is excited to go to school and see friends!! I had no idea as a kid how social school can be for the mommies! We are still feeling our way around the first grade stuff.... both Penelope and I keep wanting to go back and hang out with Mrs. Snitselaar, the old kindergarten teacher! We miss her!
