The year of the Pig

Thanks to Charlotte's Web, Penelope has a new love for all things pig. So it was great for her to discover that this is the year of the pig! For Chinese New Year, all the kids dressed in red and paraded around the school while clanking and banging and shaking their shakers yelling "gung hai fat choi!!" So cute. Lucy's name was picked to wear the dragon head for B-1, and she did a great job leading the pack! Mrs. Snitslaar made the dragon head herself, and I think it was the best dragon on the playground!

What would a kindergarten event be without little Millie and Michael? They are honorary kindergarteners, and this was no exception! Millie dressed in red--and her face is decorated like a little puppy, thanks to sister. Penelope has a tendency to go to school with a face like a cat or a dog (well, it's better than wanting to wear skimpy clothing!), so Millie wants to do it too!

Little Danny gives a smirkey smile to show off his Chinese New year garb. He is such a cutie, I adore him. He, however, adores little miss Millie, much to daddy's dismay ("oh great" says dad, "not boys already!")
