Poker in Chi-town!!

Jules Bianchi Photography hit the road this week with a visit to Chicago for a 4-day intensive seminar, but before the classes, Joy and Jules visited with Poker guru and adorable grandfather, Arturo Bianchi! After enjoying his famous chicken and vine-ripened tomatos (which makes the entire trip worth it alone) me, Jules, cousin Anna, and Nonno brought out the cards. Suddenly, our quiet 85 year old grandfather became animated and talkative, and quite the poker-shark. We even played 2's are wild and he won hands down!! Jules gave him a good run for his money because she's a good bluffer. I can't bluff worth a damn. Nonno doesn't bluff at all!!! He's so cute. Anytime someone would win they would share their chips with everyone else, so no one was really getting rich off the chips, but collectively, Jules and Nonno won the most. I think I won twice. And we played for 2 hours.

Isn't Nonno sooo cute??? And Jules isn't so bad herself!!

The game gets heated... Nonno deals his hand! You can see our little "poker cheat sheet" that tells you which hand is better... this is the first time jules and i played poker....

Playin' for the big chips!

Joy with her winnings!! I love Nonno's place, it's like visiting Italy in the 1960's. Behind me are pictures of his tiny hometown in the mountains of Northern Italy... San Romano.
